Volunteering
WOW members volunteer hundreds of hours each year, from which all proceeds support women and children in Haywood County. Whether it’s building a house for Habitat for Humanity, working the booths at Elder Abuse Awareness Day, bowling for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, distributing food throughout the community, every hour counts and helps us achieve our mission of supporting the needs of women and children in Haywood County.
WOW has started tracking volunteer hours, which will be used to support grant funding proposals. They will also provide an objective and measurable metric to supplement the comments you make when nominating a fellow member for an award.
